Lashing straps must be selected and used based on the required holding capacity, the manner of use and the type of load to be held. The size, shape and weight of the load as well as the intended method of use, the conditions of transport and the type of load will influence the selection. For reasons of stability, self-supporting unitized loads must be secured with at least one pair of straps for friction lashing and two pairs of straps for diagonal lashing. Make sure the lashing strap is not damaged by the sharp corners of the load you are using it for.
